ITCD Therapist/Family Therapist

ITCD SPECIALIST

Job Purpose

Integrated Treatment Specialists work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, modeling integrated treatment skills and training other staff in evidence-based practice principles and practice.

Qualifications

• Master's level with licensure/provisional (QMHP) with at least one year of full-time experience in treating those with substance use disorders or
• Board qualified as QSAP (CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP-D, RADC-) with one year of training or supervised experience in substance treatment or will be acquiring 24 hours of training in IDDT specific content and will get supervision from an experienced IDDT staff.

Core Job Duties

• Attend team meetings
• Regular contact with peer specialists, care coordinators, supervisors, nurses and physician
• Highly involved in developing treatment plans and amendments of plans throughout the months
• Help, consult with and direct other staff with interventions for substance use and mental illness treatment
• Expert or lead person in modeling and training other staff in ITCD principles and evidence-based practices
• Provide oversight, support and consultation to ensure motivational interviewing approach is occurring
• Takes lead to ensure the rest of the team is focused on promoting health
• Provides substance use counseling
• Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria sets for substance use and/or mental disorders
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care
• Abide by program and agency policies and procedures
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned

FAMILY THERAPIST

Job Purpose

Gather a detailed history of family dynamic, work with individuals and their support system on creating a strong bond and positive environment for supporting the continuation of the relationship in a progressive way.


Qualifications


Licensed in Missouri as a marital and family therapist or Certified by the American Association of Marriage and Family therapist; or Has a Doctoral Degree or Master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, and has at least one year of supervised experience in family counseling and has specialized training in family counseling; or has a doctoral degree or master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling and received close supervision from an individual who meets the above requirements; or is a degreed, qualified addiction professional who receives close supervision from an individual who meets one of the first 3 requirements.


Core Job Duties

• Adequately provide services within the 4 performance domains - 1) Screening, Assessment and Engagement; 2) Counseling; 3) Treatment Planning, Collaboration and Referral; 4) Professional, Ethical and Responsibilities.
• Provide family therapy sessions to person(s)-served and family members.
• Assess Family history and dynamics using genograms and/or other assessment instruments.
• Engage each family member in the treatment process as appropriate
• Adherence to all applicable evidence-based practice models.
• Orally communicate information effectively and accurately.
• Assure program operates within the constraints of the agency's certification (CARF, DMH) standards and strategic plan related to clinical care.
• Abide by program and agency policies and procedures
• Other job duties and special projects as assigned.
