About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of pediatric experience in emergency settings License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, ENPC Must-Have: - ENPC certification prior to signing - COVID vaccination required (religious and medical exemptions accepted with completion of exemption form) - Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of 3 winter holiday bundles Description: The role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. Candidates must have pediatric experience within an adult/pediatric combined emergency department or a pediatric emergency department. Strong experience in triage, pediatric dosage calculations, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and interpretation of EKGs is essential. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of approximately 4:1 during busy periods; this may increase based on unit demands. Candidates must possess certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and ENPC. No locals within a 100-mile radius will be accepted. The nurse will occasionally float to pediatric admission floors as needed. During high census periods, admission holds may be boarded in the emergency department for longer than usual. Preferred experience includes trauma/resuscitation and strong ER experience for first-time travelers. This position requires commitment to providing clinical care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents. All required documentation and compliance must be submitted on time to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Travelers will be scheduled for weekends as needed, and weekend shifts will be treated as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.
