About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing manufacturing organization in the Baltimore area, is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Generalist to support all aspects of human resources with a primary focus on recruitment and employee relations. This is a hands-on role that partners closely with leadership and employees to attract top talent, promote a positive workplace culture, and ensure HR best practices are followed across the organization.

The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, possess strong relationship-building skills, and have experience handling complex employee relations matters while leading full-cycle recruiting efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for hourly and salaried positions across manufacturing, operations, and corporate functions.
• Partner with hiring managers to identify workforce needs and develop effective recruiting strategies.
• Source, screen, interview, and coordinate candidate selection processes.
• Manage job postings, applicant tracking systems, offer letters, and onboarding activities.
• Build talent pipelines and maintain relationships with local workforce organizations, schools, and community partners.
• Support workforce planning initiatives to meet current and future hiring needs.

Employee Relations

• Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace concerns, policies, and employment matters.
• Conduct employee relations investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Support performance management, corrective action, and conflict resolution processes.
• Guide leaders on employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture initiatives.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and procedures.
• Assist with employee communications and organizational change initiatives.

HR Operations & Compliance

• Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Maintain employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with HR reporting, audits, and workforce metrics.
• Support benefits administration and leave management as needed.
• Participate in employee engagement activities and plant-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including recruitment and employee relations.
• Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or production environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and resolving employee relations issues.
• Proficiency with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.

Compensation: $85,000 - $120,000 annually, based on experience.

Schedule: Fully onsite, Monday-Friday in Baltimore, MD.
