Job Description Job Description Location: Williamsburg, Brooklyn – In-Office (potential availability for hybrid schedule) Overview A Brooklyn-based firm in the medical industry is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Full Stack Developer with expertise in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. The ideal candidate will be proficient in PostgreSQL, Tailwind CSS, React.js, Node.js, Nest.js, AWS, and Docker. A positive, can-do attitude, quick learning abilities, strong communication skills, and a strong work ethic are essential for this role. The candidate should not just be a robot but understand the project and its needs from a user's perspective. Key Responsibilities Design & Development: Architect, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance EMR systems. Collaboration: Work with the Project lead and DevOps to review and ensure user stories are created and fully understood from a user's perspective and create architectural plans accordingly.. Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for maximum speed, reliability and scalability. Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and perform code reviews. Testing: Work with QA to implement robust testing platforms and unit tests to ensure system reliability. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the system remains robust and cutting-edge. Team Player: Foster a collaborative team environment and contribute to team success. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). Experience: Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, particularly with EMR systems. Five years of experience is preferred. Technical Skills Database: Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including designing and optimizing complex queries. Front End: Strong experience with Tailwind CSS and React.js. Back End: Extensive knowledge of Node.js and Nest.js. DevOps: Solid understanding of AWS services and architecture, and hands-on experience with Docker. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a positive, can-do attitude. Work Ethic: A quick learner who can adapt to new technologies and tools, and a workaholic with a passion for coding and continuous improvement. User-Centric Approach: Ability to understand and translate user needs into effective technical solutions. Team Player: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, including remote teams. On-Premises Work: Ability to work on-premises in our Brooklyn office.
