Description

The Community Health Screening Tech - LPN works under the oversight of a RN and is responsible for performing various screening and testing procedures to support health, safety, and quality assurance initiatives. Perform various screenings, including but not limited to; blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, flu vaccinations, along with providing safety checks, and quality control tests. This role involves operating screening equipment, analyzing results, and maintaining accurate data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies. Provide clear instructions to individuals undergoing screening, educating on results and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. Travel within the BayCare Service area, using personal transportation, and performing other duties as assigned required.

Requirements

• 1 year experience in a similar role or in a healthcare, laboratory or quality control setting
• High School Diploma or Equivalent GED
• LPN License
• BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Florida Driver's License
• AHCA Level 2 background clearance

Location

• Home base county: Pinellas County with other counties as assigned
• Requires reliable transportation for travel within home base county and will include sister counties

Status and Shift

• PRN: as-needed
• Events occur during the week and on weekends
• Event shifts will vary between 2 and 8 hours
• Scheduled 2-4 weeks in advance
