We're looking for a junior-to-mid level litigation associate to take ownership of a caseload in Asbestos and Toxic Tort Defense. This role requires an attorney who is capable of handling discovery from inception, motion practice, and has a proven track record of successfully defending clients in high-stakes litigation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with some of the leading attorneys in the field and to represent a diverse portfolio of clients in the legal industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all aspects of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Develop and implement defense strategies for complex asbestos, toxic tort, product liability, and insurance defense cases.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to determine the most effective defense strategy.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with team members, clients, and opposing counsel to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments and changes in asbestos and toxic tort law.
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice law in the state and in good standing with the state bar.
• 2–4 years of litigation experience — general litigation, insurance defense, or product liability all considered.
• Proven track record of handling discovery from inception, motion practice, and successfully defending clients.
• Asbestos or toxic tort defense experience is a strong plus.
• Strong writing, research, and deposition skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex cases simultaneously.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
