Salary: $30,125.50 - 38,164.62 Job Description (Teacher's Assistant/Paraprofessional) Teacher Assistant is directly responsible to specific group assignments. Responsible for implementation of daily and weekly programs as assigned by NYSED certified teacher for each student in assigned group. Assist in any clerical work (i.e. daily attendance, requisitions, trip lists, graphing data). Responsible for carrying out daily schedules as developed and planned. The Teacher Assistant is responsible for participating in in-service training, CPR, behavior analysis training program and completing one book/quiz per month. Teacher Assistant instructs students in daily proper hygiene habits. Assists in accompanying students to medical office, and off grounds medical appointments or other services as needed.
