Programmer

The Georgia Government Transparency and Campaign Finance Commission, hereafter referred to as The Agency, is seeking two Full Microsoft Web Stack developers to assist with migrating the agency's current web sites to an upgraded Microsoft platform. Primary skillsets required include C#, ASP, JavaScript, and T-SQL. Knowledge of Progress' Telerik products is desired but not required.


The current agency environment uses Windows Server 2008, Microsoft SQL 2008R2, and .Net Framework 2.0. The target environment is expected to use Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SQL 2016, and .Net Framework 4.5 or higher. The agency web-based systems in this effort include a web farm comprising three separate web applications, two DLLs, two web services, and a Microsoft SQL Server backend in a clustered environment.


Successful candidates will be responsible for migrating and testing the current agency web-based systems. Site code that fails will need to be corrected, debugged, and retested.


Work will be performed onsite at the agency's offices. Telework may be allowed on occasion with prior approval through the agency's Engagement Manager. To be considered for possible Telework, the successful candidate must be able to provide their own equipment and software which must be adequate to perform the assigned tasks without causing additional impact to the agency's migration, deployment, and testing efforts.
