Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ER Holding Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Active RN License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: COVID vaccination required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted. Ability to monitor and interpret telemetry and manage medical equipment. Strong time management skills. Experience in dysrhythmia interpretation and management. Description: The role requires effective management of a fast-paced unit. The unit functions as an admission unit, responsible for handling patients from the emergency department. RNs will begin the inpatient standard of care until patients can be transferred to other units. The position involves frequent turnover of patients, including transferring and admitting. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:4-5, with the capacity for 17 beds and additional hall beds. Relief charge responsibilities may be required, and flexibility to float is necessary. A diverse patient population is served, encompassing various specialties, excluding ICU-level patients. This position requires the ability to handle a variety of medical conditions and disease processes. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential for effective patient care. The unit demands proactive adaptation to changing patient needs and workflows. Candidates should be prepared for a high-demand environment focused on patient throughput and management.
