Applications Developer

Overview We are seeking a talented Applications Developer to join our team at Marsh. This role will be based in New York . This is a hybrid role that requires three days a week in the office. The role oversees the entire life cycle of a software application, including design, coding, and testing to ensure functionality, performance, and security, and supports the application during monthly and quarterly close cycles. As an entry-level individual contributor, an Applications Development Analyst is expected to apply knowledge from advanced education and develop professional skills with guidance from a manager and experienced team members. Responsibilities Support and assist senior developers in coding, testing, and debugging software programs and enhancements to meet project goals. Lead Oracle TRCS enhancement activities across a senior-level portfolio. Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely, accurate system performance and reliable financial reporting output. Drive process optimization, issue resolution, and system enhancements by translating business requirements into scalable Oracle EPM solutions that improve efficiency, controls, and reporting capabilities. Provide technical support to internal clients on existing problems and escalate as appropriate. Requirements Associate or bachelor’s degree 5–10 years of experience within tax software, preferably TRCS Knowledge in EPM software development and the ability to propose new feature enhancements Experience working with Tax reporting teams to implement and maintain tax reporting processes, including data collection, tax provision calculations, and compliant reporting Strong problem-solving abilities, quick learning, and ability to troubleshoot technical issues across cloud and on-prem environments Nice to have Understanding or prior experience in FCCS including workflow, business rules, reporting, and Smart View Experience with system usage monitoring and production troubleshooting Proficiency in support functions including problem investigation, development, testing and deployment Why join our team Professional development opportunities, interesting work, and supportive leaders. Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week for in-person collaboration. The applicable base salary range for this role is $97,600 to $195,100 . The base pay offered will be determined based on experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
