Salesforce Solution Engineer

Platform: Salesforce Government Cloud

The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced Salesforce Solution Engineer to design and deliver end-to-end solutions on Salesforce Government Cloud supporting Child Welfare program applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical discovery sessions with product owners and program stakeholders to gather and define requirements.
Evaluate technical options and recommend best-fit Salesforce solutions.
Design scalable and maintainable end-to-end Salesforce solutions.
Lead integration design, solution blueprinting, and configuration strategies .
Develop applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce Flows .
Design and develop integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems.
Leverage both declarative and programmatic Salesforce capabilities .
Follow established engineering standards, security requirements, and platform governance.
Support mission-critical Child Welfare, case management, licensing, and service operations workflows.
Ensure solutions align with business objectives and long-term Salesforce platform strategy.
Review Salesforce Spring, Summer, and Winter release notes .
Identify breaking changes, deprecations, configuration changes, and new Salesforce features.
Assess the impact of Salesforce platform releases on existing applications and integrations.
Recommend and implement changes required to maintain platform stability and compatibility.
Identify practical opportunities to incorporate AI-driven capabilities into Salesforce applications.
Implement intelligent automation and AI-enabled solutions to improve business processes.
Ensure responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with product owners, technical teams, program stakeholders, and leadership.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Salesforce Government Cloud, Apex, LWC, Salesforce Flows, system integrations, solution design, technical discovery, release management, platform governance, security, and Salesforce configuration/development .

Experience supporting public-sector, Child Welfare, case management, licensing, or service operations applications is highly desirable.

Knowledge or hands-on experience with Salesforce AI capabilities, AI-driven automation, and responsible AI implementation is strongly preferred.
