Quick Facts Location: University of Kansas Hospital, 4000 Cambridge St, Kansas City, KS 66160 (Bell Unit) Start Date: 03/15/2026 Shift: Days, 10-hour shifts (Monday–Friday) Shift Hours: 08:00 AM – 08:00 PM Hours/Week: 40 hours Employment Type: Contract (duration TBA) License/Certs: ARRT Radiography & Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (must be in hand for submission) Experience: Minimum 2 years of IR and Scrub experience; 3+ years preferred Pay & Benefits Pay rate: Competitive, discussed upon application Benefits include: Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time per applicable laws 24/7 dedicated support team What You’ll Do Assist in interventional radiology procedures using Siemens systems (Artis icono, Artis Q, Artis zee) Prepare and operate imaging equipment across a busy hospital setting Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures Assist radiologists with case setup, scrubbing, and intra-operative support Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality protocols Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to handle a high volume of cases (60–65/day) Float to other IR rooms as needed and support outpatient services What You Need Required Kansas State license & ARRT Radiography certification (must be current and in hand) Minimum 2 years of IR and scrub experience in a large hospital setting Flexibility for floating and on-call, if needed Preferred 3+ years of IR experience, including peripheral and neurovascular procedures Experience with Siemens IR equipment About the Assignment Join a fast-paced hospital environment handling high patient volume and complex cases across seven rooms. The unit specializes in all lines for the entire hospital, including outpatient services, with a focus on neuro, neck, and thyroid biopsies. The facility maintains a nicotine-free policy and offers bi-weekly pay, orientation on Mondays and Tuesdays, and a minimum of two cancellations per month with notice.
