Assistant Clinical Director

Monima Wellness Center is a mental health facility that provides Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) with an optional safe living environment for women seeking an immersive healing experience. We provide individualized and compassionate mental healthcare services to help women struggling with their mental health and the after-effects of trauma. Our clinical team consists of mental health experts with extensive expertise in a variety of therapeutic techniques to effectively meet the needs of our patients. Position Summary The Assistant Clinical Director is well versed in the delivery of clinical treatment services to individuals diagnosed with SUD and a co-occurring psychiatric/mood disorder(s). This position performs clinical evaluations to diagnose existing psychiatric/mental health or co-occurring conditions, at times even managing a caseload of those clients with co-occurring mental health/psychiatric mood disorder. This plays a key role in making eligibility and Level of Care determinations based on the client's presenting symptoms and primary needs. This position liaises with the Director of Clinical Training who directs and oversees clinical interns/ associates, registered with the BBS (AMFT, APCC, ACSW). The Assistant Clinical Director supports providing all clinical staff with clinical supervision/consultation, scheduling support, professional guidance and feedback, and provides structure to the clinical team. Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Core Competencies. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Supports and contributes to the development and coordination of all clinical services Supports oversight of all Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient services provided Supports supervision and consultation of all clinical staff, including interviewing, hiring and terminations Provide scheduling for clients and clinical staff Conduct eligibility screens and ASAM assessments to make Admit & level of care determinations Conduct clinical assessments i.e. Biopsychosocial assessment, ASAM, Suicide Risk Screen & assessment, Trauma assessment, Needs Assessment, and various other clinical evaluations. Oversee scheduled self-report assessments to monitor and track client progress throughout treatment. Support clinical decision making informed by self-assessment progress. Engage in networking and business development opportunities in speaking on the message and clinical philosophy of Monima Wellness Center Makes eligibility and LOC determinations for incoming clients based on the client's primary needs and presenting symptoms. Delivers therapeutic services to caseload with flexibility to utilize multiple modalities including family systems, motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment therapy (ACT), DBT Skills building/ distress tolerance, and various psychotherapeutic techniques. Supervises the team of Clinicians (AMFT, APCC, LCSW, etc), providing direction, guidance, and facilitating clinical supervision hours for team of associate clinicians during internship/practicum. Recognize the individual and specialized needs, providing client-centered care to best treat clients Facilitate individual psychotherapy sessions, group therapy, & couples/family session management, consultation, education, crisis intervention life skills building and development, crisis intervention and referral as needed. Ensure Monima clinical documentation adheres to all The Joint Commission standards Facilitate/participate in weekly clinical treatment team meeting planning and organization Provide clinical determinations for clients seeking programming Complete progress/case notes in a timely fashion with an understanding on appropriate documentation Display effective intervention and de-escalation skills Establish client and clinical staff involvement for quality clinical services Demonstrates leadership and strong communication Maintain a safe and secure environment for both clients and staff Preferred 1 year of clinical supervision or leadership experience Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Knowledge of health information related to adult health, SUD, and dual-diagnosis. Is highly skilled and experienced at facilitated clinical assessments (i.e. ASAM, Bio Has expert knowledge DSM for mental health/mood/co-occurring disorders and applies criteria appropriately while performing clinical evaluation, resulting in well-founded diagnostic determinations Has working knowledge of ASAM criteria and regularly makes eligibility and LOC placement determinations. Good understanding of clinical evidenced-based modalities such as motivational interviewing. Cultural sensitivity and desire to work with an ethnically diverse adult population. Maintain networking relationships with community service providers. Desire and experience working within a drug and alcohol treatment program. General understanding of chemical dependency and self-help philosophy. Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals in a positive, supportive, and cooperative manner. Communicate positively and effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of individuals and constituencies. Ability to partner and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff or workers. Develops effective relationships with culturally diverse individuals, families, & groups Ability to demonstrate consistent professionalism in the execution of duties and responsibilities. Able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Knowledge of basic principles, practices and techniques of mental health and drug and alcohol intervention. Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
