Located in Elyria, OH Salary: Based on Experience #LORAIN We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, hands-on machining knowledge, and the ability to work with engineering drawings and CAD models. This role requires accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration with machining and engineering teams. Responsibilities:- Program CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for quality, efficiency, and cycle time
- Utilize SolidWorks and CAD software to interpret and create part models and toolpaths
- Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues
- Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality staff to ensure parts meet specifications
- Maintain documentation for programs, revisions, and processes
- Follow company safety practices and quality standards
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming experience
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and general CAD software
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes (milling and/or turning)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining materials
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Familiarity with multi-axis machining
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment
