Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: ADN required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Experience in Med/Surg, nephrology, kidney transplants, renal, and dialysis Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical care. The unit has a total of 20 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. There is a unit secretary available during the day and patient care technicians are accessible. A unit educator is also present to support staff. The documentation system used is Meditech. Three weekend shifts per month are required. Agency or contract nurses will float before others. The unit focuses on surgical and medical care, with dialysis performed off the unit. Royal blue scrubs are the standard dress code; black scrub pants are also acceptable. Teamwork is promoted, with recognition through awards for collaboration. A virtual nurse assists with patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on their patient care.
