We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Coordinator to support daily HR operations for a large retail employer. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a smooth employee experience while keeping records, processes, and communication organized. The role will contribute to onboarding, employee support, and HR systems coordination in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate onboarding activities, including collecting required documentation, preparing onboarding materials, and helping employees transition into their roles smoothly.

• Maintain accurate employee information within HR systems and assist with routine updates, recordkeeping, and data verification.

• Support background screening processes by tracking status, following up on outstanding items, and ensuring timely completion before start dates.

• Respond to employee questions related to HR procedures, policies, and general workplace matters, escalating more complex issues when needed.

• Assist with administrative tasks across HR operations, such as organizing files, preparing reports, and managing employment-related documentation.

• Partner with HR team members to improve workflow efficiency and provide support for ongoing HR initiatives and system-related processes.

• Help monitor compliance with internal HR practices by ensuring personnel records and onboarding steps are completed accurately and on schedule.

• Experience supporting human resources administration in a detail-focused office environment.
• Working knowledge of HRIS platforms and the ability to maintain accurate employee data.
• Hands-on experience assisting with onboarding activities for new employees.
• Familiarity with employee relations support and responding appropriately to routine HR inquiries.
• Experience coordinating or tracking background checks as part of the hiring process.
• Strong organizational skills with close attention to detail and follow-through.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information appropriately.
