Job Description: The Registered Nurse is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the provision of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care provided that incorporates evidence-based practice. A key aspect of the work of Nursing is to continually improve the quality of nursing care by collecting and analyzing data. Under the direction and supervision of the Manager - MedEvac and/or their designee, this position is responsible for providing safe, comprehensive care for critically ill and/or injured patients of all ages. Care is provided in the pre-hospital setting and during inter-facility transports (IFT) by understanding and applying the specialized principles and techniques of transport paramedic practice, emergency procedures and diagnostics. Experience/Qualifications: Knowledge of patient care standards and practices is normally acquired through completion of a nursing program. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Previous 2 years in hospital critical care. Medical transport experience is beneficial. Active Wisconsin RN license. Active Michigan Registered Nurse license. Current BLS certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider Course Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider Course Valid Driver's License in the State of residence. Completes all annual recurrent competency requirements. Is responsible for knowledge of and performing within the regulations and scope of practice of the EMS licensing agencies. The ground units are staffed with Critical Care Paramedics, Registered Nurses and EMTs.
