Senior Software Engineer, Pipeline Engineering

Salary: $180,000 - 270,000 per year Requirements:

• We look for experience designing, building, testing, and maintaining production-grade software, services, or developer platforms.
• We want hands-on familiarity with CI/CD, build systems, test orchestration, release workflows, or similar engineering infrastructure.
• We value proficiency in one or more languages such as Python, Go, Java, or C++, plus strong scripting and automation capability.
• We expect solid software engineering foundations, including API design, distributed systems, concurrency, testing, debugging, and performance analysis.
• We prefer experience with Linux/Unix environments and troubleshooting across application, operating system, network, storage, or infrastructure layers.
• We seek a data- and quality-driven approach, with experience using logs, metrics, dashboards, queries, or tracing to improve reliability and developer experience.
• We need strong ownership, communication, and collaboration skills, including the ability to work through ambiguity, influence across teams, learn quickly, and support others.

• We design and implement scalable CI/CD, build, and test pipeline capabilities that provide fast, reliable feedback to engineering teams.
• We develop production-quality services, APIs, workflows, and developer tools that streamline pipeline setup, execution, debugging, and reporting.
• We evolve our pipeline architecture toward modular, fault-tolerant, durable components with clear interfaces and a controlled blast radius.
• We improve pipeline performance, capacity, and resource efficiency as workloads expand across FlashArray, FlashBlade, and other engineering environments.
• We build strong observability, metrics, and diagnostics so engineers can assess pipeline health, find failures quickly, and make data-informed decisions.
• We partner with product engineering, release engineering, and platform services teams to deliver capabilities that solve real workflow challenges and support critical releases.
• We own outcomes end to end, including testing, documentation, operational readiness, incident follow-up, and long-term improvements to the systems we build.
