Lawn Mowing - Help a Senior Neighbor!

Family Service Rochester

Family Service Rochester is looking for volunteers to help with lawn mowing and essential yard maintenance.

Volunteers are matched with an older adult and assist that specific homeowner for the summer. This program helps your neighbors to stay safe and independent in their homes!

Some homeowners have lawnmowers for volunteers to use and others don’t. If you don’t have your own, or can’t transport one, we’ll match you with someone that has a mower!

Lawn mowing is usually completed every 7-14 days, depending on the amount of rain, how fast or slow the grass is growing, etc. If you know that you’ll be out of town or unavailable for a period of time, let us know, and we will find an alternate volunteer to help mow during that time.

Don't have the capacity to commit to the whole summer? That's just fine! Let us know when you're available to help mow, and we will add you to our 'subs' list!
