US Flood Underwriter / Product Lead

We’re currently partnering with a growing specialty insurance platform on the build-out of a new US flood-focused underwriting capability within its MGA business backed by Lloyd's capacity This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping a differentiated flood proposition across the US market, combining underwriting, product development and broader platform build-out. The successful individual will work at the intersection of traditional flood insurance and emerging alternative risk solutions, helping create a broader flood offering for clients across commercial and specialty lines. The Opportunity Key responsibilities are likely to include: Supporting the development of a dedicated US flood product strategy Working across traditional and structured flood solutions to create broader client offerings Helping position the platform as a specialist provider in the flood market Bringing underwriting credibility to conversations with carriers, reinsurers and capacity partners Supporting product and underwriting execution while wider infrastructure continues to scale Contributing to the long-term build-out of a broader flood-led proposition within the US specialty market Candidate Profile We’re keen to speak with individuals who bring: Experience within flood underwriting, CAT underwriting, specialty property or related product lines Strong technical underwriting capability with commercial awareness Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in building something Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment Credibility with carriers / markets around flood exposure and underwriting strategy Experience from an MGA, carrier, E&S, specialty property or flood-focused environment Helpful but not essential: Reinsurance exposure Understanding of parametric or alternative risk transfer structures Familiarity with catastrophe modelling / flood analytics Exposure to US flood retail distribution or wholesale channels This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a high-growth, build-oriented role with genuine ownership and the ability to shape product, underwriting and market strategy from an early stage. #J-18808-Ljbffr 20Twenty Search
