Quick Facts Location: 1465 South Grand Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63104 Start Date: 10/19/2026 End Date: 04/19/2027 Shift: Day shift, 4x8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Hours/week: 40 Employment Type: Contract through permanent opportunity Licensure/Certifications: BC in genetics required; MO & IL licenses preferred; BLS, DEA, BNDD required Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in genetics, strong metabolic disorder management Pay & Benefits Hourly Rate: $156.00/hr Pay package discussed upon application Benefits: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws 24/7 dedicated team supporting your success with VHS What You’ll Do Conduct comprehensive genetic evaluations, including metabolic and biochemical assessments Manage inpatient consults in PICU, NICU, and pediatric wards Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including genetic counselors and nurses Support the pediatric trauma, cardiology, neurology, and cancer programs Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient tracking Provide care to primary pediatric patients and occasional adult cases Contribute to a cutting-edge facility with modern technology and expanded capacity planned for 2027 What You Need Required: Board Certification in Medical Genetics (BC in genetics) State Licensure: Missouri and Illinois (candidate licensure accepted) Certifications: BLS, DEA, BNDD 2-5 years clinical genetics experience Strong diagnostic skills in genetics, metabolic disorders, and collaboration abilities Preferred: Experience with inpatient metabolic management Ability to work in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments About the Assignment Support staff include genetic counselors, nurses, and counseling assistants. The facility is a top ranked children’s hospital, a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, with a Level IV NICU and extensive subspecialty programs. This position involves outpatient clinics, inpatient consults, and call support, with a supportive and innovative environment committed to excellence in pediatric genetics and metabolic care.
