Assistant Sales ManagerMumbai/Pune/VadodaraJob SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth of progressive cavity pumps (PCPs) across the assigned regions. This role will involve building and nurturing relationships with new and existing customers, identifying market opportunities, and managing the full sales cycle. The RSM will work closely with the technical and support teams to deliver customized solutions to clients in diverse industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, food and beverage, chemicals, mining, and others.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve sales targets for progressive cavity pumps across India.Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, target industries, and customer needs. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to develop a competitive sales approach.Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, engineers, consultants, and distributors.Provide technical support and guidance to customers on product selection and application.Lead the entire sales process from lead generation, product presentations, negotiation, to closing the sale.Coordinate with the engineering and product teams to ensure timely delivery and installation of pumps and associated equipment.Identify and target new clients in key industrial sectors where PCPs can offer a significant advantage.Increase market share in existing client accounts and expand into untapped regions or industries.Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in CRM/Excel tools.Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market intelligence to the senior managementTechnical Knowledge & SupportPossess in-depth technical knowledge of progressive cavity pumps, their applications, and advantages.Provide technical support to clients and assist with troubleshooting and maintenance queries.Collaborate with the technical team for product customization or application-specific solutions.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field; MBA or sales certification is a plus.5+ years of experience in sales or business development in industrial equipment, ideally with experience selling progressive cavity pumps, pumps, or similar fluid handling equipment.Strong technical understanding of pump applications, industrial processes, and fluid handling.Proven track record in sales, with the ability to meet and exceed targets.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Self-motivated with a results-driven approach and the ability to work independently.Willingness to travel extensively within the region.Desired Skills & AttributesStrong network within key industries such as oil and gas, water treatment, chemicals, and food and beverage.Problem-solving skills and the ability to offer technical solutions to complex challenges.Experience working with distributors, OEMs, and engineering contractors.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP will be a plus.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary with performance-based incentives.Health and wellness benefits.Travel allowance and reimbursement for work-related expenses.Opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing industry with significant career growth potential.
