Job Description
Physical Therapist Assistant - Skilled Nursing Unit Schedule This is a 13-week contract position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our Skilled Nursing Unit team. This position primarily focuses on providing therapy in a Skilled Nursing setting, with the possibility of covering acute care responsibilities in the Joint Connection Unit. Responsibilities
- Provide physical therapy interventions as directed by physical therapists.
- Assist patients with rehabilitation exercises and mobility training.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the MEDITECH charting system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care and recovery.
- Ensure a safe and effective therapy environment for patients.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC).
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) licensure.
- Experience in skilled nursing and/or acute care settings preferred.
