Position Overview

Overlake Joints and Bones Medical Clinic is actively seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in New York, NY. In this crucial role, you will work closely with patients to help them regain movement and enhance their overall functionality. Your expertise will guide them through various stages of their rehabilitation journey, including promotion, prevention, diagnosis, and intervention strategies. This role is essential in empowering patients to achieve their physical health goals.

Our comprehensive facility spans 5,000 square feet and boasts state-of-the-art equipment focused on sports medicine. As part of our team, you will work alongside a cohort of experienced professionals, including two other licensed physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA).

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in our outpatient office, providing a dynamic and collaborative atmosphere where professional growth is encouraged. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a structured yet fulfilling work-life balance. Our outpatient setting focuses on direct patient care, making your interactions essential to the patient experience while leveraging the latest health technologies. You will frequently utilize EMR software, such as WebPT, to document patient interactions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and collaborate with them to develop and fulfill individualized goals for rehabilitation.
• Deliver focused therapy sessions at a rate of one patient per hour to ensure quality care and comprehensive treatment.
• Utilize your experience in orthopedic outpatient care to provide tailored treatment plans that emphasize cost-effective solutions and non-invasive options.
• Create personalized care plans by selecting diverse treatment techniques aimed at enhancing patients' mobility and functionality.
• Implement and oversee fitness and wellness programs that cater to the specific requirements of each patient.
• Encourage patients throughout their treatment process, motivating them to improve their movement capabilities.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of treatments, monitor patient progress, and maintain open lines of communication with patients and their families.
• Document all patient interactions and care provided to ensure a seamless flow of information and continuity of care.
• Enhance patients' health by promoting lifestyle changes that foster strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a patient demographic that predominantly includes individuals with private medical insurance. Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Candidacy for this role requires a valid physical therapist license in New York, with no disciplinary actions taken against your license.
• Strong manual therapy skills are a must, along with an aptitude for developing effective exercise routines for active rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome newly licensed physical therapists, previous experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly valued. A track record of successfully managing diverse patient populations and utilizing a range of therapeutic modalities will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary, ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
