Work Environment

The work setting for this role is onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center, which is designed to facilitate both patient comfort and optimal therapeutic outcomes. Our environment fosters collaboration among healthcare teams, allowing you to develop and implement effective treatment strategies. You will work Monday through Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, providing ample opportunities to engage with patients in a supportive and nurturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• The Physical Therapist will deliver patient-centered care, managing the therapeutic journey for an assigned group of patients.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and play a vital role in crafting individualized care plans aimed at enhancing patient engagement and achieving therapeutic goals.
• Administer physical therapy interventions in accordance with established protocols while ensuring continuity of care throughout rehabilitation.
• Evaluate patients' therapeutic and rehabilitative needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop holistic care plans.
• Provide skilled therapeutic techniques and procedures in clinical settings, supporting diverse patient needs in alignment with physician directives.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on necessary exercises, therapies, and the effective use of therapeutic appliances and devices to promote ongoing progress outside structured therapy sessions.
• Manage caseload prioritization, oversee daily staffing requirements, and ensure seamless communication and hand-offs among the care team.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a variety of patient populations, primarily focusing on orthopedic conditions. You will facilitate positive rehabilitation experiences, supporting patients who require recovery from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. Your role is crucial in providing empathetic care that not only addresses physical rehabilitation but also supports the mental well-being of patients through interactive engagement and education.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license as a Physical Therapist.
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
• No prior experience is necessary; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is preferred but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and strategies is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability in patient education and engagement strategies.
