Controls Engineer

Summary:


Our award-winning client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. Join our dynamic team as a Controls Engineer and play a key role in designing and building innovative machinery! In this collaborative role, you'll create electrical schematics, PLC programs, and enclosure designs, while actively participating in our LEAN culture to optimize processes and drive efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Design schematics, PLC programs, and electrical enclosures that meet project specs.
• Work closely with the team to estimate project timelines, complete electrical designs, and support manufacturing.
• Test and verify new programs, document your work thoroughly, and create machine manuals.
• Participate in daily LEAN meetings, identify areas for improvement, and help streamline processes.
• Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and final acceptance testing.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree + 4-5 years of electrical design experience (machine tools a plus).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and electrical codes.
• Experience with PLC programming (Omron, AB, Siemens a plus) and HMI programming (Indusoft a plus).
• Proficiency in Solidworks, Microsoft Office, and client Epicor system.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to LEAN principles and continuous improvement.
