Budget Analyst

In this role, you will partner with campus departments to support financial planning, resolve complex issues, and provide information that helps ensure effective budget management. The Budget Department provides university-wide budget planning, analysis, and financial support to promote informed decision-making and effective stewardship of university resources. This position is located in Brookings , South Dakota. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Sponsorship is not available for this position. Job Responsibilities: The Budget Analyst supports the management of the University operating budget through the analysis and administration of personnel actions, financial data, and budget activity. The position applies knowledge of Banner finance, human resources/payroll processes, fund accounting, and University processes to evaluate complex transactions, maintain accurate financial information, develop decision-support reporting, and assist campus departments. The work requires substantial analysis, independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and resolve financial and system‑related issues.
