Quality Assurance Manager

Position: Quality Assurance Manager Location: Conover, NC Job Summary The Quality Assurance Manager reports to the Director of Operationsand will oversee all activities related to Quality Control and Quality Assurance.The QA Manager will execute key projects related to process improvement based on data collected from Quality Control and feedback from Field Service and Customers.The QA Manager works with both Operations and Service to identifyand correctprocess failuresand will provide support inproject management, change management, SOP documentation and management.The QA Manager will also leadand drive thebusiness unit’sinitiativestoobtain and maintainISO 9001 certification. Job Location Conover, NC (with some travel to Aurora, IL (20%-25%) Job Expectations and Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Manager playsacritical part in understanding and meetinginternal and externalcustomer needs by developing solutions and validating product/solution performance through: Executingquality complaint investigations, root cause analysis, troubleshooting, data collection and proposes solutions. Demonstratingappropriate project management skills and use of DMAIC/Lean methodology in execution of projects. Creatingand executingcontinuous improvement projects and Design of Experiments to improve quality and optimize equipment and process performance within production applications. Engagingwith production to develop new products and supporting process development through PFMEA –(Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis). Developingdocumentation for new test procedures, products, and processes. Routinely monitoringproduction through periodic Q/C checks and evaluation of routine checks made by in-houseline leaders. Assistingin creating quality assurance plans for new products to guarantee quality from stage one. MaintainingQuality Root-Cause database. Training new Quality Control employees. Required Education, Experience and Qualifications Minimum of 10+ years of experience in people, process, and product management BS Mechanical, Process Engineering, or Quality Engineering or similar relevant degree/experiencepreferred Lean Six Sigma Black Belt a plus Demonstrated ability to create, implement, and maintain new processes across multiple departments Demonstrated success in managing projects in cross-functional teams Strong attention todetailis critical Ability to multi-task with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and mechanical skills.
