And so much more.​   ​Come break through with us.  Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role PurposeWe are seeking a strong and experienced Quality Leader to lead a team responsible for sustaining and continuously improving the overall Quality Management System at our Trivium facility. In this role, you will ensure our customers’ Critical to Quality requirements are consistently met by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including Process Engineering, Technology, and Product Line Management.This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven leader who thrives in a manufacturing environment, enjoys solving complex quality challenges, and is passionate about developing people and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive leadership in problem solving, issue resolution, and follow-through on quality-related issues impacting manufacturingCoach, mentor, and oversee team members in their daily responsibilities and longer-term objectivesIdentify development opportunities for team members and support execution of their growth plansPartner with Technology and Engineering on product enhancements, new product designs, and product transfers to ensure customer specifications and expectations can be metLead the team in understanding both internal and external customer needs, ensuring expectations are consistently achieved through monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and continuously improving plant quality systemsExecute and implement the Product Quality Architecture strategyEngage with various levels of leadership regarding quality performance, quality-related issues, and structured problem solvingLead efforts to reduce customer returns and notifications by driving rigorous corrective action methodologiesEnsure the plant maintains a robust Quality Management System aligned with company standards and TL9000 requirementsOversee key departmental quality functions such as:Incoming inspection of raw materialsCalibration systemsOptical test equipment supportRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or other relevant technical discipline5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or military experience in a technical leadership roleDemonstrated track record of delivering resultsBroad experience across manufacturing and engineering functionsExperience leading projects from scope definition through implementationExperience coaching and developing junior engineers and techniciansPreferred QualificationsExperience working in a manufacturing environment in at least two different rolesKnowledge of ISO or TL quality system fundamentals and certification processes, including internal and external auditsExperience with data acquisition, consolidation, and analysis from multiple sourcesFamiliarity with product specifications and measurement systemsKnowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC)Background in project management, performance excellence, or MEE is a plusSkills & CompetenciesAbility to apply situational leadership to a diverse teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to influence cross-functional teams and drive accountabilityCustomer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvementThis position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is $112,328.00 - $154,451.00 assuming full time status.
