Work Shift Night (United States of America) Shift Details NICU Only/Weekend Option/Nights/Full-Time Responsibilities Provides customer service Provides supportive environment for students and staff Administers quality patient care Performs patient assessment for therapy Collaborates with health care team members in planning patient care Verifies orders and administers aerosolized medication, bronchial hygiene, volume expansion, and oxygen medical gas therapy Performs arterial blood gas sampling analysis Assists in invasive and non‑invasive procedures, cardiac service procedures, and pulmonary diagnostic testing Provides safe quality environment Promotes performance improvement initiatives designed to promote quality care Qualifications Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy education program (CoARC or CAAHP) with minimally 20 quarter hours of science. Bachelor's degree preferred. Registered respiratory therapy, 1.00 required. Respiratory care professional, 2.00 required. 0–2 years clinical experience with a minimum of 6 months critical care, required. Ability to communicate well, think critically, establish and maintain working relationships with physicians and other health care professionals, and possess computer skills including familiarity with databases. Good customer relations, assessment, and communication skills are musts for this job.
