We are currently seeking an experienced BIM Coordinator to join our Columbia team and play a key role in driving project success through accurate modeling and effective coordination.

Position Summary

As a BIM Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models that support project execution from design through construction. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with real-world installation.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Revit expertise and a solid understanding of mechanical systems who enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, and coordinate BIM models using Autodesk Revit
• Create and maintain accurate mechanical system models and construction documentation
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to resolve clashes and design conflicts
• Participate in coordination and clash detection meetings
• Perform clash detection and assist in resolving coordination issues
• Maintain BIM standards, workflows, and best practices across projects
• Support prefabrication efforts through detailed modeling and shop drawing preparation
• Ensure models align with project schedules and construction sequencing
• Provide ongoing BIM support throughout all phases of construction

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a BIM Coordinator or in a similar role within the mechanical construction industry
• Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit ( required )
• Working knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems
• Experience with clash detection and coordination processes
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Navisworks or similar BIM coordination tools
• Field experience or familiarity with mechanical installation processes
• Understanding of BIM execution plans (BEPs) and project standards
