• Job Title: Pathology Assistant / Pathologists' Assistant (Hospital Laboratory)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830 - $3,040
• Location: 801 Ostrum Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015 - Work on-site in a modern hospital laboratory in vibrant Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
• Setting: Hospital Laboratory / Medical Laboratory
• Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 1, 2026

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Master's degree in Pathology Assistant or Pathologists' Assistant studies (required)
• At least 1 year of experience as a Pathology Assistant preferred
• Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team in a hospital laboratory
• Experience with surgical pathology grossing, specimen handling, and autopsy assistance is a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Assist pathologists with preparation, gross examination, and dissection of surgical specimens (grossing)
• Perform autopsy procedures under supervision and assist with postmortem examinations
• Ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and chain-of-custody for specimens
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; follow safety and quality control protocols
• Collaborate with laboratory staff, histology, and clinical teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely specimen processing
