Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.Labcorp is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our team in Itasca, IL.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pmJob ResponsibilitiesAssist with the onboarding of new employees as well as initial training to ensure a positive new hire experienceProvide on-going group and individualized training for purposes of performance enhancement and general educationDeliver training in the areas of company and department policies and procedures, department related competencies and Lab Information SystemsDevelop and implement appropriate resources and programs to accomplish training objectivesEvaluate and update existing training materials and plansServe as a procedural and compliance resource for department employeesSupport leadership with their goals in relation to quality and service metricsAssist with the creation of improvement plans for underperforming employeesMaintain accurate logs and records for all trainings conductedProvide training with respect and professionalism at all timesAssist with the workflow during times of high volume or when coverage is neededTravel to client sites and other branches to assist in trainingResearch industry related information when necessaryAdditional administrative tasks as neededMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology1 year or more of experience as a TechnologistPreferred QualificationsASCP and/or AMT Certifications6 months or more of prior supervisory or leadership experienceAdditional Job StandardsIn lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirementsUnderstanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and proceduresExperience working in a high-volume laboratory environmentProven track record in providing exceptional customer serviceFlexibility to travel throughout territory for training purposesComfortable working under minimal supervisionAbility to work independently and within a team environmentProficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systemsHigh level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skillsAbility to handle the physical requirements of the positionAble to pass a standardized color blindness testFlexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needsAt Labcorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives. Apply today!**Pay Range: $27.00 - $34.00All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
