Property Accountant - CommercialOur client is growing and needs to add a couple of Property Accountants with Commercial Real Estate experience to their team. Responsibilities include:Maintain multiple property accounts for multiple clientsAccurately record income, expenses, and changes in assets and liabilities on a monthly basisReconcile all balance sheet accounts and applicable schedules to ensure accurate reportingCalculate depreciation and amortizationMonitor cash balances and prepare monthly bank statement reconciliationsPrepare cash funding requestsTrack capital expendituresPrepare reserve requests from Lenders and Seller escrowsEnsure accurate timing and payment of all payablesPrepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statementsPrepare and assist property management in annual budget processUpdate projected cash flow schedules throughout yearReview and calculate annual operating expense recoveries (CAM reconciliation)Maintain tenant ledgers and interact with tenants with disputesCalculate and prepare management feesMonitor tenant sales reporting and calculate percentage rentCalculate and prepare sales tax returnsPrepare monthly distributions to equity partnersRequirements:Bachelor's Degree in AccountingAt least One year of Commercial/Retail Property Accounting experienceYardi Voyager and MRI experience preferredMust be organized, concise, detailed, flexible, and efficientMust have the ability to handle multiple properties and multiple clientsMust have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAdvanced MS Office skillsAbility to work with deadlinesForward ThinkingPersistent (Good Follow Through)Our client offers a salary of $55k - $65k depending on experience plus full benefits.
