Job Description & Requirements Specialty: CVOR Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/19/2026 Duration: 14 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, evenings Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) nurse position is based in Burlington, Vermont. This assignment involves providing specialized surgical care for open heart procedures within a large, academic, teaching hospital setting. The role requires flexibility and clinical proficiency in cardiovascular surgery, with a commitment of 36 hours per week on a rotating D/E shift schedule. Job Details: Schedule: 12-hour shifts, Monday to Sunday, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; CNOR certification preferred; minimum of 2 years of operating room registered nurse experience with recent and high competency in cardiovascular or open heart surgery; Epic electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years; proven ability to scrub hearts; prior travel experience; experience in large (500+ beds), academic, and teaching hospital environments required; must be flexible to float to other operating room suites (general, ortho, neuro, ENT, etc.), circulating but not scrubbing if floated. Start Date: 07/27/2026 Additional Information: Must explain employment gaps over 90 days; complete work history (bed count, EMR, facility type) required to submit; no block scheduling; bi-weekly orientation sessions (next starting 07/13).
