MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Georgia Drivers License. GOAL Ensure safe transportation for students.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Communicate effectively with students. Manage and control student behavior. Assist with loading/unloading of students, including wheelchairs, and making sure all equipment and medical paraphernalia (accessories) are properly stored and secured before the bus is moved. Supervise seating arrangements. Assist with emergency care of students with medical needs. Assist with evacuation procedures. Communicate and establish positive relationships with parents and school personnel. Attend all in-service training as required. Assist driver in other related bus duties. Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position. Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner. Participate in training programs to increase skills and proficiency related to the assignment. Review current developments, literature and technical source information related to job responsibilities. Ensure adherence to good safety procedures. Follow federal and state laws, as well as Board policies. Observe universal precautions (when necessary). Properly dispose of bio-hazardous materials, sharp items and unused or unidentified medications. Report to administrator as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
