Job Summary:
Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This role involves supporting a surgery unit with a focus on orthopedic, spine, neurosurgical, and general surgical procedures. The nurse will work closely with surgical teams and utilize advanced equipment, including the Synaptive Medical Modus V robotic digital microscope for neurosurgical procedures.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Tennessee nursing license, BLS certification, one year of circulating experience in operating room surgeries, including orthopedic and spine procedures; prior experience with neurosurgical and robotic procedures is preferred but not required. Critical thinking and customer service skills are essential.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with total joints, spine fusions, craniotomies, robotic procedures, general surgical procedures, urology, and cardiovascular procedures including open heart surgeries.
• Additional Information:
  • The unit has 17 beds and 17 operating rooms.
  • Documentation is managed through Meditech.
  • Staffing includes unit secretaries and technicians.
  • Equipment used includes electrosurgical devices, Neptune suction, and patient positioning devices.
  • This position may involve working with advanced robotic technology, notably the Synaptive Medical Modus V digital microscope, the only system of its kind in Tennessee.
