Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Clinical Nurse Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The healthcare provider will utilize the nursing process to deliver direct, patient-centered care to an assigned group during each shift. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses, while coordinating care with the patient/family and the healthcare team. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift; 10 shift hours; minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Minimum two (2) years current experience in a large Operating Room (OR); ability to scrub; Associate degree in nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in nursing (ASN); State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License; Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Epic experience preferred (training available on-site); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred; Orthopedic, EENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), and/or vascular experience a plus.
• Additional Information: Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel; completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards; administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy; identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.
