Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Location: Fountain, CO
Pay Rate: $18.90/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Overtime: 15-20 hours of overtime available during the busy season

Are you an experienced Forklift Operator/Material Handler looking for a stable opportunity with overtime potential? We are seeking a dependable Forklift Operator/Material Handler to join our warehouse team in Fountain, CO. This role requires individuals who are comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions while supporting daily warehouse and production operations.

Position Summary

The Forklift Operator/Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, storing, and shipping products while maintaining inventory accuracy and warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will have forklift experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Unload inbound shipments safely and move products to designated storage areas.
• Stack and store merchandise efficiently and accurately.
• Verify inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
• Report product quality concerns and variances.
• Pull, prepare, and stage products for shipment.
• Perform order picking duties to meet customer service and production standards.
• Move products from staging and storage areas into trailers and railcars.
• Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other powered industrial equipment.
• Use RF scanners for receiving, picking, put-away, and loading functions.
• Inspect forklifts and equipment daily and perform minor maintenance as needed.
• Operate equipment safely while following established procedures.
• Supply indoor hoppers with materials as needed.
• Place bags of potting soil onto pallets.
• Repackage products and fill small packages.
• Apply labels to products and shipments.
• Maintain inventory records and required reports.
• Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Ensure proper stock rotation practices are followed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
• Clean work areas and equipment regularly.
• Follow all OSHA, MSDS, and company safety standards.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous forklift operating experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Experience working in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment is a plus.
• Ability to work overtime, including 15-20 additional hours per week during peak season.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
