The platform offers targeted promotions, flexible budget options and detailed reporting to help brands grow their reach and engage loyal customers.Attain Office Hybrid Schedule (where applicable): Redwood City, CA: Mondays (in-office for stand-ups, all-hands) and choice of three days between Tues-FridayChicago, IL & New York, NY: 4 days in-office; 1 day remoteYou’ll be a great fit for the role ifYou are excited to architect and build microservices using Node.js and GoYou love working closely with product teams to identify the best way to deliver great customer experiences and pursue new revenue opportunitiesYou are energized by working in high-throughput environments where stability, speed, and customer experience are equally important.You have a willingness to learn and teach in a collaborative environmentYou’ve been complimented on how well you participate in an open feedback environmentWhat your day to day will look likeUse new and modern technology to build new features and services across our microservice architectureWrite thoughtful & quality code that is readable, testable, and easily maintainableCreate data-driven and stable APIs for our mobile apps to consumeStrive for excellent development practices and careful code architecture that is built around rapid releasesWork cross-functionally with all mobile and backend engineers, and product teams to consistently release high-quality, customer-focused featuresAdhere to, and improve upon, our agile process through requirement documents, sprint retrospectives, and other regular cadence meetingsPreferred Qualifications6+ years of experience building backend services with 2+ of those years in a technical leadership capacity (mentoring junior engineers, scoping technical projects, etc.) Experience with Microservice or Service-oriented ArchitecturesExperience building within the Node.js ecosystemExperience using gRPC, protobuf, or GraphQLExperience managing AWS environments (GCP is a plus)Experience with working with relational databasesExperience with message queues or event streamsExperience in the financial and rewards tech industry is a plusExperience proactively working with modern AI-enhanced development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, etc.) and a curiosity for emerging AI workflowsWe’re excited to hear from you.
