IPS Hardware Support Technician/Engineer

Job Title: Support Technician/EngineerQualcomm Technologies' Integrated Platform Solutions (IPS) team in San Diego is seeking a versatile Support Technician/Engineer to collaborate with hardware engineering teams in the development, validation, and deployment of chip test platforms.In this role, you will support prototype hardware bring-up, debug, distribution, and new silicon validation activities. Responsibilities include troubleshooting platform hardware and ASIC-related issues using test scripts and industry-standard lab equipment, collecting and analyzing test data, and preparing technical reports to support engineering decision-making.The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player with strong hardware debugging skills and the ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation. A solid understanding of power distribution networks (PDNs), signal integrity, impedance matching, and high-speed digital and RF measurement techniques is essential. Experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, logic analyzers, and other electronic test equipment is highly desirable.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree and 1+ year of Support Engineering or related work experience. OR Associate's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience. OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.*Completed advanced degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one year (Master's = one year) of work experience.Key Qualifications:Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up, debug, and validation of prototype platforms.Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and ASIC issues using automated test scripts and lab instrumentation.Strong understanding of power delivery, signal integrity, and high-speed interface design principles.Proficiency in reading schematics and technical documentation.Experience measuring and analyzing high-speed digital and RF signals.Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.This position offers the opportunity to work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams and contribute to the successful development of next-generation Qualcomm technologies.Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits :$35.10 - $52.60
