Job Description Lighthouse Electric extends hands-on work experience opportunities to college students and post-high-school individuals through our internship program. Interns will actively engage in real projects within various departments of the company, gaining valuable skills and knowledge in the construction field. A Safety Intern eager to gain hands-on experience and become part of a dedicated team. This 12-week internship will begin at the conclusion of the spring semester. This is a 40-hour per week, Monday through Friday position. The ideal candidate is someone with: Knowledge of OSHA regulations The ability to assist Safety Managers Field Leadership with: Daily jobsite visits and inspections Daily job tasks and compliance in the field Identifying, analyzing, and mitigating construction site hazards Completing Job Hazard Analysis forms Ensuring that weekly Toolbox Talks are performed, and the topics are site-specific Conducting safety meetings and safety training on the jobsite Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong leadership and collaboration skills Ability to analyze and quickly resolve issues The ability to visit and walk jobsites within the Pittsburgh area. Jobsites include those within a 3-hour radius of Pittsburgh We highly value the internship experience when considering candidates for future roles within our company, aiming to cultivate the next generation of leaders. Our ideal project scheduler internship candidates should: Be enrolled in a four-year institution, two-year technical school, or possess a High School diploma/GED. Demonstrate a proactive, open-minded approach, a strong eagerness to learn, contribute ideas, and collaborate effectively within a team. Duration of Internship & Expected Work Hours: Anticipated Start Date: May 17th, 2027. 8-12 Weeks; Monday-Friday 6:30 am - 3:00 pm Location: Canonsburg Office (In Office Internship/No Remote) This is a paid internship, and compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
