Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL – we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)Position: We are seeking a Procurement Specialist. This role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining cost-efficiency. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a Procurement Specialist in hardwood, plywood, lumber and architectural building products. Must also possess excellent negotiation skills. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions to secure the best deals.Procurement Planning: Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet the company's needs for lumber and building materials. Analyze market trends and adjust procurement plans accordingly.Order Management: Place orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products. Manage and resolve any issues related to order fulfillment and quality.Cost Control: Monitor and analyze purchasing costs. Develop strategies to reduce expenses and improve cost-efficiency while maintaining product quality.Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure optimal stock levels. Assist in forecasting demand and adjusting procurement schedules as needed.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, costs, and performance metrics.Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and legal regulations.
