About the Role


We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract assignment in Monterey, California. This position supports rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), providing patient-focused therapy under the direction of a Physical Therapist while maintaining accurate documentation and quality care standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy treatments according to the established plan of care.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Document therapy sessions and patient responses accurately and timely.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, , functional activities.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to support effective patient care.

Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience required.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred.
• Experience with NetHealth (Rehab Optima) EMR preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
