Your Responsibilities

• Executing detailed patient evaluations, prescribing diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care strategies
• Evaluating and managing acute and chronic conditions, in conjunction with physician colleagues or autonomously based on your licenses
• Instructing patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management practices
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with your practicing authority

Qualification Essentials

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of South Dakota
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or readiness to obtain within 90 days)
