FT Shift Lead - Customer Service Coordinator

Job Summary The Shift Lead is responsible for leading the team across all shifts, ensuring the hospital has leadership onsite at all times, coordinating with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff, and maximizing the productivity and profitability of the hospital while delivering exceptional client and pet care. Responsibilities The role balances approximately 20% leadership duties with 80% paraprofessional responsibilities. Key responsibilities include: Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. Perform duties of a CSC and/or veterinary assistant/technician, including recruiting clients, routing clients and pets, maximizing the number of pets seen, providing professional service, educating clients, completing documentation, handling finances, and supporting surgical procedures as allowed. Assist in surgery, perform technical tasks within state practice acts, and conduct necessary administrative functions. Support the Practice Manager in scheduling, training, supervising, and motivating the paraprofessional team. Communicate effectively among associates, clients, hospital leadership, and Central Team Support. Ensure safety, cleanliness, sterility, and equipment readiness in all treatment areas. Maintain accurate medical records, conduct quality checks, manage inventory, and address equipment issues. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Experience Associate’s degree or veterinary technician certification/licensure preferred, or equivalent education, training, and experience. Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, veterinary, or service industry; six months at Banfield preferred. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
