Public Area Attendant

What You’ll Do

- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of all public and shared spaces throughout the resort, including lobbies, entrances, hallways, stairwells, restrooms, restaurant areas, banquet spaces, and employee areas
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize, and maintain floors and surfaces according to resort cleanliness standards
- Clean and restock guest and employee restrooms, ensuring supplies remain fully stocked throughout the day
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of designated waste areas
- Help maintain outdoor public spaces, including patios, walkways, and guest gathering areas as needed
- Monitor and replenish guest amenities, including coffee and tea stations, paper products, and public-use items
- Collect and return used dishware and glassware found in public areas to designated stations
- Perform laundry duties as assigned and restock housekeeping closets and carts daily
- Promptly report and turn in lost and found items according to resort procedures
- Communicate guest requests, maintenance concerns, and operational issues with appropriate departments
- Greet and assist guests professionally while maintaining discretion and respecting guest privacy at all times
- Support large group arrivals or departures with luggage assistance when needed
- Maintain organized housekeeping storage areas and prepare workspaces for the next shift
- Follow all safety, sanitation, and workplace procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and team members
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions and assist with onboarding new team members when requested
- 1+ year of professional cleaning experience preferred , ideally in a hotel, resort, or lodging environment
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation
- A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with teammates across departments
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Flexible availability, including weekdays, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts based on business needs
- Ability to successfully complete a background check
