Job Summary: The Court Attendant is responsible for supporting daily court operations while delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role assists with court bookings, guest check-in, and maintaining clean, safe, and organized court facilities. The Court Attendant plays an important role in ensuring courts are properly set up and that guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, reliable, and attentive to detail. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Court Operations & Scheduling:
o Assist with managing court bookings, including rentals, lessons, and reservations.
o Check guests in and out efficiently and professionally.
o Provide accurate information on services, programs, events, and memberships.
o Schedule guests for court time, lessons, and activities.
o Maintain and update the court and event calendar as directed. Guest Service & Experience:
o Deliver a high level of customer service and hospitality to all guests.
o Answer guest questions and assist with equipment, rules, and general inquiries.
o Help create a welcoming, organized, and professional court environment.
o Escalate guest concerns or issues to a supervisor when necessary. Retail & Revenue Support:
o Assist with retail and beverage cart operations, including processing transactions accurately.
o Promote court programs, lessons, and retail offerings when appropriate.
o Support inventory tracking and restocking of retail items and supplies. Court Maintenance & Operations:
o Ensure courts are clean, safe, and properly set up before and after use.
o Perform routine upkeep such as net adjustments, court sweeping, and equipment organization.
o Monitor court conditions and report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
o Maintain organization and presentation of all court areas, storage spaces, and equipment. Events & Programming Support:
o Assist with court-related events, tournaments, and special programming.
o Support event setup, breakdown, and guest assistance during programming.
o Work with instructors and team members to ensure smooth operations. Administrative & Operational Support:
o Handle POS transactions, payments, and basic record-keeping accurately.
o Assist with tracking court usage and daily activity logs.
o Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Front Desk, Events, Recreation) as needed.
o Follow and enforce court rules, policies, and safety guidelines. Health & Safety Compliance:
o Follow all company policies and safety procedures.
o Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
o Ensure proper use and handling of equipment and supplies. Education and/or Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in hospitality, recreation, or customer service preferred.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus. Skills/Specialized Knowledge
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Knowledge of court sports (e.g., tennis, pickleball) is a plus. Physical Demands
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., equipment, supplies).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
