Dogs Inc. is a nationally recognized nonprofit dedicated to transforming lives through the extraordinary bond between people and dogs. Serving individuals in all 50 states, the organization provides highly trained guide dogs, service dogs, and companion dogs to people with vision loss, veterans with disabilities, military families, and others seeking greater independence, confidence, and connection. Headquartered on a nationally recognized 66-acre campus in Palmetto, Florida, Dogs Inc. has grown into one of the country’s leading service dog organizations, with more than 200 employees, over 1,000 volunteers nationwide, and more than $100 million in assets.
The Opportunity
Dogs Inc is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Chief Executive Officer to lead the organization into its next era of impact, growth, and organizational maturity. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the CEO will oversee a more than $25 million organization and lead the development of a bold long-term strategy that helps shape the future direction of Dogs Inc. This leader will serve as a highly engaged external ambassador - building philanthropic support, strengthening community and industry relationships, and expanding national visibility - while also building and leading a strong executive team capable of supporting the organization’s continued growth and evolution. Above all, Dogs Inc. is seeking a leader who genuinely loves dogs and deeply believes in their power to transform human lives.
Location, Compensation and Benefits
This position is based in Palmetto, Florida (near Tampa) and requires an engaged, visible on-site leadership presence. Regular travel may also be required for donor engagement, partnerships, conferences, and organizational representation. Dogs Inc is open to candidates who are willing to relocate for the opportunity.
The salary range for this position is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. In addition to base salary, the total direct compensation package may include additional incentive-based compensation. Dogs Inc offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, retirement, and paid time off benefits, along with additional offerings that support employee well-being and long-term success.
