Part-Time Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking a professional, bilingual Customer Service Representative for a direct hire opportunity with an established organization in Greensboro, NC.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong customer service and inbound intake experience who enjoys helping customers, resolving issues, and providing a high level of service in a fast-paced environment.

This position is part-time and hybrid , with two days per week required in the Greensboro office following training.

Position Details

Location: Greensboro, NC

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $19.00/hour

Schedule:

• Monday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Tuesday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Hybrid Schedule: Two days per week in-office are required after training. Employees may choose which two days best fit their schedule.

Training Schedule

Training is conducted onsite in Greensboro and cannot be completed remotely.

The preferred training schedule is:

Monday–Friday, approximately 9:00 AM–4:00 PM for two weeks.

Some flexibility may be available for candidates who need to work around another job or existing commitment. When a modified training schedule is approved, the overall training period may take longer.

Candidates must be able to attend onsite training.

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative serves as a first point of contact for customers and is responsible for providing professional, compassionate, and solution-oriented support.

This position involves handling inbound customer calls and electronic inquiries, answering account questions, assisting with payments and account changes, documenting customer interactions, and helping resolve issues as efficiently as possible.

The goal of each interaction is to provide excellent customer service and achieve first-call resolution whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer inbound customer service calls and chats from new and existing customers.
• Complete customer intake and gather appropriate information to identify the customer's needs.
• Assist customers with account questions, billing inquiries, payments, account setup, account restrictions, and other service-related needs.
• Troubleshoot basic customer concerns and provide appropriate solutions.
• Document customer interactions accurately and thoroughly.
• Update customer account information using internal customer service software.
• Create and route support tickets when technical assistance is required.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer and account information.
• Work toward resolving customer concerns during the initial interaction whenever possible.
• Maintain professional, courteous, and compassionate communication.
• Perform additional clerical or administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior customer service or call center experience.
• Strong inbound intake experience with the ability to ask questions, gather information, understand a customer's need, and guide the conversation toward a resolution.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional when assisting frustrated or upset customers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Typing speed of at least 30 WPM.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable work history and favorable professional references.
• Ability to attend required onsite training in Greensboro.

What We're Looking For

The strongest candidates will have experience in an environment where they were responsible for receiving inbound calls, completing an intake process, gathering detailed information, solving problems, and assisting customers from beginning to end.

This position is not primarily a sales or cold-calling role . Candidates whose experience is limited mainly to outbound sales, cold calling, or retail environments may not be the best match for this opportunity.

Work Environment

This position begins with onsite training in a professional office environment.

Following completion of training, the position will transition to a hybrid schedule , with two days per week required in the Greensboro office and the remaining scheduled hours worked remotely from an appropriate designated workspace.

The role requires extended periods of sitting and regular use of a computer, headset, and telephone throughout the scheduled workday.
